Significant changes to the Home Insulation Rebate

The Federal Government announced on Friday 19 February, the immediate suspension of the Insulation Rebate Scheme. The Government have announced that this scheme will return in a revised model on 1 June, 2010. In the event that the scheme continues, and remains viable for installation companies like Hire A Hubby, our services may be restored at that time.

In the interim, and in response to the disturbing press about unscrupulous operators, that have failed to observe the appropriate safety measures associated with the installation of insulation products, Hire A Hubby can confirm the following information for our customers:

• In the week prior to the suspension of the Insulation Scheme, Hire A Hubby received our competency audit result from the Federal Government, which showed that Hire A Hubby have no outstanding issues that require rectification
• Hire A Hubby have only ever used Insulation Batts and NOT Foil Insulation Products
• Hire A Hubby have at no time used any products that have been imported from areas the likes of China
• Hire A Hubby have only ever used Australian Standard products that met with the minimum Government requirement
